Why Write?

Why Write?

Art means something to everyone, whether they realize it or not. It’s in everything, from the daily routines we follow to the grand act of painting a mural. What makes your art special is simply the fact that it is yours.

When we learn to express ourselves, we are often met with praise or punishment. We’re told we’re “too loud,” “too eccentric,” or “too much.” I’m sure you’ve heard this before. Initially, it may shock us, and the shame that follows can lead us to conform to what others see as “normal.” But here’s the thing—those same people who push you to fit into a mold are the ones who watch movies and TV shows every night, following a script just like everyone else. The truth is, you can’t let the voices of jealousy or insecurity dictate your path. Many of those who criticize others are simply too scared to embrace who they really are or lack the ambition to step outside the “social norm.”

Today, you have the power to choose. You get to decide to be more than you were yesterday, or even just 30 minutes ago. You have the right to love yourself enough to pursue what you truly desire.

I write because it’s my form of expression, my art. If someone is willing to listen, I could talk for hours! Yes, I was that kid who was always talking in school, but so what? Now, I embrace it—it’s what makes me unique, what sets me apart from the person standing next to me at the crosswalk. It’s what draws the people I care about toward me. It wasn’t until I let go of the shame I once carried that I discovered my true passions.

You don’t have to make a living from your art, nor does it matter whether others see it. What matters to me is that you see it, that you relate to it, and that you take something valuable from it. I care that it has a positive impact on you and your life. As a writer, I’m here to share my art with my friends—and I consider you one of them.

On this blog, you’ll find many things. But most importantly, you’ll find a positive impact. I interview people with interesting stories and valuable messages, as well as businesses that embody integrity, grit, and a true love for what they do. Maybe one day, I’ll get to share your story! Until then, I’ll see you in the next post.

Stay bold, stay positive, and trust your intuition!
